Saša Stojanović, flutist, was born in Belgrade en grew up in a family where the musical spirit was present. A few years later Saša became pupil of the famous teacher Ljubomir Dimitrijevic under which guidance he finished his middle music education cum laude. During these studies in Belgrade he gave recitals for the Peoples University and the Atrium University in Belgrade as well as for the Yugoslavian radio and television. Saša was part of the flute quintet Jakov Srejovic which obtained the first prize at the competition for Chamber Music in Belgrade. Furthermore Saša obtained in a duo the second prize at the competition for music institutes. Further first prizes were obtained at the solo competition in Belgrade and the National Competition of the former republic of Yugoslavia in Ljubliana. In the International competition in Prague he obtained the third prize. An interview followed for the classical broadcast company in Belgrade, which lead to a performance in Kolarac, one of Serbia’s most famous halls for classical music.
After his studies in Belgrade Saša decided to continue his studies in Amsterdam Conservatorium van Amsterdam with Pieter Odé and later with Harrie Starreveld. Saša did master classes with i.e. Patrick Gallois, Alain Marion, Heinrich Zöller, Abbie de Quant, Jacques Zoon and Miodrag Azanjac. He was principle flutist in the “Festival des Heures Romantiques” (Indre et Loire), under the direction of Udo Reinemann and performed with e.g. David Selig, Maciej Pikulski, Mariëlle Nordmann, with different programs e.g. with the former French President Valérie Giscard-Estaing.
Saša performs in Holland, Belgium en France and work as a flute teacher.
